The southern side of Building 202, aka the Broadside Mount Shop, aka the Navy Gun Asssembly Building, originally built in 1941. After the Navy moved out, various federal agencies occupied the building, including the Federal Protective Services, until Forest City took over the building as part of the Yards footprint in 2006. For a time PN Hoffman had been attached to a planned renovation to turn it into condos, but now the building is on the market as Forest City looks to see if there are any other developers with designs on the building that could fit in with the general Yards direction and feel.    (link)
A long view of the building's exterior, taking from 4th and Tingey back in 2007 (before the Twelve12 project obscured the view).    (link)
The interior atrium and roof, as seen from the ground floor that I was contractually obligated to not show.    (link)
A small peek at the southwest portion of the ground floor that I was able to photograph, showing one of the loading dock bays.    (link)
Looking up at the massive crane that hangs at the southern end of the atrium.    (link)
A great sign.    (link)
Another great sign.    (link)
Looking out the building's southern windows, toward the Navy Yard's power plant.    (link)
The western walls of the atrium.    (link)
While the atrium looks like it might take up the entire building, there is considerable additional space on each side, running the building's length on three floors. A portion on the western side of one of the floors is seen here.    (link)
Another view of the spaces that run along the building's length, which could make interesting apartments or hotel rooms. Note that the steel cross beams are a touch low.    (link)
A poorly shot image of one of the loooooong hallways the run along behind the atrium walls and alongside the spaces shown in the previous photo.    (link)
The southwest corner of one of the floors.    (link)
Not every space has an exposed-brick loft-y look of wonder.    (link)
Bathrooms on the north end of the building. You will thank me for not including a photo looking into the stalls.    (link)
The view from the bathroom.    (link)
The massive freight elevator (lit only by the flash on my camera, because the building currently has no power).    (link)
The catwalk above the crane on the south end of the atrium.    (link)
The roof, looking north (note Twelve12 to the left). It could be possible to build up a couple additional stories on this flat portion, similar to what happened at the Foundry Lofts. The slanted atrium roof can't be knocked out, though it could be skylighted. See this early drawing of this sort of notion for the roof.    (link)
The roof, looking south, with the Navy Yard chimneys in the next block.    (link)
I couldn't pass up this view of the under-construction Lofts at Capitol Quarter.    (link)
A close-up of some of the not-modern equipment in the elevator shaft machinery room on the roof.    (link)
Looking from the roof west down Tingey Street, with a nice view of the reflective glass at Arris.    (link)
The view to the south, which will last until the combination Parcel O condo/rental residential project gets started in 2016.    (link)
