A rendering showing Square 769 as seen from the northwest--the building to the left is DCHA's planned mixed-income building, which will be 11 stories tall and will have approximately 171 rental units, of which 34 will be public housing units. At right is WC Smith's long-planned 250 M Street office building.
April 3, 2017 - Piles now driven into the ground prove that construction on this project is indeed underway.
July 20, 2004 - The southern side of L Street, east of New Jersey, when it was still home to the two-story Capper apartment buildings. These were demolished a few months after this photo.
February 26, 2017 - A current view of an angle more similar to the rendering. Click to see all available photos of this location.
Dec. 6, 2004 - The residential building will run along the south side of L Street between 3rd and 2nd Streets. Up until early 2005, this location was long occupied by one of the Capper/Carrollsburg public housing buildings.
