A slightly expanded view of same location, in March 2009, with the 1111 site unchanged but 100 M and Onyx on First now looming behind. The glass canopy of the Navy Yard Metro exit was installed in April 2006. (3/30/09)

Square 743N, seen from overhead, in March 2006; St. Matthew's Baptist Church is at bottom, the parking lot is the 1111 New Jersey site, and the Onyx lot is at the right rear of the block. (03/06)

The same location, two years later, with 100 M (left) and Onyx (right) a few months from completion; 1111 New Jersey could start construction at lower left in 2008. At the very top left of the photo you can see the stadium. (11/17/08)

Looking south on New Jersey Avenue at L Street; 1111 New Jersey Avenue will fill in the grassy area on the right side with its own tower to match 1100 New Jersey across the street and the DOT HQ across M. (02/06)
|
While the 1111 New Jersey property now includes the land around the Metro entrance, the building will not be brought right to the M Street line. There will be a wide plaza surrounding the Metro entrance, and the existing entrance canopy will remain. The entrance will be protected and is expected to remain open during construction. (08/06)
