The Yards: The Boilermaker Shops
300 Tingey St., SE
The 1919 former Navy Yard Building 167, renovated into a retail space.
Construction began in late 2011, opened in 2013.

March 2007 - Built in 1919 on the northeast corner of 3rd and Tingey Street, the old Building 167 opened in 2013 after a two-year renovation, and now offers more than 46,000 square feet of retail space. DOT HQ is at left and Building 202 is peeking out at far right.
Oct. 10, 2014 - The same view, with the rehabilitation completed and with many of the tenants now open, and with Twelve12 now risen to the east.

Nov. 3, 2019 - Hatoba, the neighborhood's first ramen joint, opened in the old 100 Montaditos space in late summer 2019.
May 19, 2019 - Lululemon, which opened in 2018 in the space previously occupied by Steadfast Supply, which opened in 2017 in the space previously occupied by Hugh & Crye.
September 29, 2013 - The east end of the building, facing Tingey near 4th Street, where restaurant Nando's Peri-Peri opened in August, 2013.
April 5, 2014 - Bluejacket's signage and its new summer patio, in spring 2014. (Their sign unfortunately is nearly impossible to see, even in person.)

While waiting for construction to get underway, the Boilermaker Shop has been used for some events, such as the October 2008 announcement of the $42 million public-private partnership to build and maintain the Waterfront Park at the Yards. (10/29/08

Lastly, a view of the Boilermaker Shops, the Foundry Lofts, and the Lumber Shed at the Yards Park (along with the red brick Building 170 that's JBG's purview and not part of the Yards) as seen from the northwest, as the foundation was being dug for the US Department of Transportation headquarters.
