Nov. 3, 2019 - Avidian, being built concurrently with the new National Association of Broadcasters headquarters, a is 163-unit condo building designed by Gensler, seen here with NAB immediately to the north, looking up South Capitol Street toward M. The building will have a mix of studio, 1-, and 2-bedroom units, along with some multi-level townhouses at street level, and is expected to open in 2020.
May 20, 2006 - A wider view of what this stretch of South Capitol Street looked like in 2006.
Nov. 3, 2019 - The view of NAB/Avidian from north of M Street.
Dec. 10, 2017 - New fence signage at South Capitol and M announcing that the residential building will be called Avidian, and will in fact be condos.
Feb. 16, 2006 - Looking down itty bitty Van Street in early 2006, in the final pre-ballpark-construction weeks.
January 12, 2020 - The same location, with the NAB HQ in the foreground and red-bricked Avidian next door.. Click to see all available photos of this location.
May 24, 2007 - An overhead view of what would become the NAB and Avidian site, back in the old days. Note that the Domino's is still open in this shot, though its days were numbered.
Looking down South Capitol Street from M, showing the southern portion of the NAB HQ and Avidian.
Looking down Van Street from M, with a smidge of NABHQ seen at far right, then the red-and-black-and-glass 10 Van, then the never-going-to-die self storage building, and then JBG's 122l Van at the far end of the street, at N Street.
It may not look like much, but Monument paid $4.5 million in August 2005 for the land on the southeast corner of South Capitol and M streets, home to a Domino's for a long time. (07/06)
The WMATA parking lot purchased by Monument for $22.6 million in August 2008 is nestled between the Public Storage building and what was the Domino's site (bottom right); it has mainly been used as Nationals' gameday parking since the Domino's closed. (5/6/08)
