A rendering of 1345 South Capitol Street, a 244-unit residential building under development by Camden. The site was cleared in late 2007; however, as of spring 2008 work is stopped while Camden "decides what to do." (Rendering from the WDG Architecture web site.)

The viewing platforms at the ballpark provide a good view of the 1345 site, seen at right in September 2007, soon after the reopening of South Capitol Street, with streetscape work still underway. (9/07)
The same location, with the 1345 lot cleared but work on hold. (5/26/08)
The 1345 footprint stands directly across South Capitol Street from the new Nationals ballpark site; the beige building at left in the top photo is on the 1345 footprint; it was demolished in December 2007. You might be able to make out the stadium construction at right. (8/3/08)
