 Sliding from Before to After

If you didn't check back on last week's post, you missed additional tidbits about a construction permit for Wiseguy Pizza at Canal Park, a link to cool progress photos and timelines of the Virginia Avenue Tunnel, the news that the Yards Parcel L apartment building will be called "The Estate," and an office tenant moving from Maritime Plaza to 1100 New Jersey. But you can go read it now.
So keep checking on this post to see what tidbits will come, but I already know of one, which is the news that the new Circulator route that will run down M Street from Southeast to Southwest will start June 24. Here's what I wrote about it last year.

So after Barre3, that seems to leave just 1 bay in that building empty. Based on the trend, it's either going to be delicious food or exercise-based business.

Greystar is under contract to buy the huge CSX parcel that runs west from New Jersey Ave. behind the 70 and 100 I Street bldgs, just south of the freeway. Bisnow piece with graphic of location: link

Should be more residential.

The CSX land behind ORE 82 is under contract to Greystar (national apartment developer). 1M SF of development capacity, according to the listing - 1,000+ units.

JD-- regarding the link that you Tweeted about, more housing is always welcome but I can't imagine living right next to the railroad tracks and I-395. I thought these buildings would be office and/or hotels.

Wow lots of updates. I need to keep checking in here more often. I can also report that continued Street and curb improvements are happening on half Street. Fingers crossed they finally do something with the sidewalks. I will also be so happy when 99 M Street is done because that has made such a mess of that area which has a huge amount of foot traffic now that the weather is nice.
