 Sliding from Before to After

The Nationals put out the word today that they have signed a multi-year deal with Levy Restaurants, the "exclusive restaurant partner" at the ballpark since 2009. (Except for, you know, that other restaurant partner at Nats Park.)
The release mentions how the agreement demonstrates a "commitment to regional business" by expanding the farm-to-table program to bring fresh meat, poultry, and vegetables to the various food locations around the park, but I'm guessing that many fans will be more interested in the local sourcing of DC Brau, 3 Stars Brewing Company and Port City Brewing Company, which will now be offered in two additional "District Drafts" locations around the ballpark (four total).
There will also be new items on the menu this year, "including hand rolled sushi, stir-fry to order noodles, house made jumbo lump crab cakes and new vegetarian and gluten-free options."
Fans will also be looking forward to seeing if the redesign of many stands around the park that the Nationals and Levy have undertaken will in fact "get fans in and out of lines and back to the action quickly through faster purchase times and optimized event day flow." There will apparently also be "new digital menu boards" throughout the ballpark for real-time info on offerings, promotions, etc.
Of course, there are also new food offerings outside of the ballpark this year, too--for those who haven't been keeping track, here's the rundown of what's arrived since last season (and what's coming), plus the same basic info in map form.

I don't know. But if not, remember that there was talk that Hill Country might be trying to come to a spot at New Jersey and Tingey this season (though I think there maybe had to be a zoning ruling on it, and we've heard nothing). Link:

Did anyone check out Hill Country's little camp by National Building Museum? I meant to, but I wasn't able to make it happen last year. Anywhere near Nats Park seems like a pretty ideal spot to me - especially if they can find some shade, which I believe the DOT building would provide, during those super hot summer months.

Otherwise, I think that Nats Park does a decent job with food, so any improvement to the selections would be great (although I'll probably hold off the sushi and stick with my usual dog and beer). In the past, they issued season ticket holders a type of smart card for the turnstiles as opposed to paper tickets. They weren't good for much else, but it sure would save a ton of time on food and merchandise purchases if the season ticketholders could use those as a debit card of sorts and thus eliminate the need to fumble with cash or even wait for credit card transitions to go through.

Hopefully some food vendor moves into the open space by DOT. That is a nice location but it is such a missed opportunity right now siting vacant.

I agree that space has been a missed opportunity, but I'd expect it to be more attractive this year. The completion of some establishments in the Boilermaker Shops and the Lumber Shed will totally change the amount of foot traffic in that part of the neighborhood both before and after games. I'd expect the area from Yards Park to the DOT to be a great place to hang out, especially if you combine the occasional Friday home game with the concert series they did last year.

We stopped by Hill Country's outpost at the Building Museum last year; it was quite nice, they had tents and stuff for shade, and of course it smelled delicious. Someone asked David Garber about their plans on his Facebook page, and he said that they still plan to open up this year, though he was unsure of the timeline.
