From the WashTimes: "President Barack Obama won't be at Nationals Park on Monday to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Washington Nationals' home opener.
"According to a White House aide, Obama will decline the team's invitation to throw the pitch in the game against the Philadelphia Phillies, brushing back a presidential tradition that dates back to 1910."

If it were basketball he would have been there. At least there won't be long lines to like last year.

He will probably travel to Charm City (Bal'mir) April 21-23 to watch his beloved Pale Hose (White Sox) at Camden Yards.

He may make it over to Nat's Park July 16-19, when his not-quite-as-loved Chicago Cubs are in town. Those would be my guesses....

BOO! That's the only reason I bought tickets for opening day.

I can see the Nationals get blown out dozens more times this season, but this was my only chance at an Obama sighting in the 'hood.

What a loser!!!
The tradition of throwing out the first pitch has NOTHING to do with fan support: as if Taft, FDR,Truman, IKE, JFK, or Nixon were fans of our local team.
Obama has no idea what being President means: all partisanship--including former team(the Bulls) loyalty--must be forsaken for the general welfare of the ENTIRE nation! Even Dick Cheney has more sense of office than that phony.
He is turning out to be worse than George Bush jr.(who did through out the first pitch)
