Facing South Capitol between K and L will be 1000 South Capitol, which was originally a proposed 320,000-sq-ft office building but which was revealed in late summer 2015 to be changing to a residential project with somewhere between 300 and 360 units, though in the end the building is to go up with 244 units and 10,000 square feet of retail. May 6, 2007 - Looking north across the site back in 2007, with the view of the Capitol dome doing a nice job of diverting your eyes from the rubble after Nation was demolished. This lot was then cleared to become Nats Parking Lot K for 11 years.
