Sept. 9, 2019 - A stunning JDLand graphic showing the footprint of the 11-acre site purchased by a development group headed by Greystar in 2018. 1st Street would be extended north of I, and H Street would be built through from New Jersey. Note that only the large portion on the right side of the footprint is currently slated for development.
Looking at the construction site along New Jersey Avenue SE between H and I Streets.
Sept. 9, 2019 - There are no renderings publicly available yet, so this site plan showing three buildings will have to do. According to reports, the east building will be a 225-room AC Marriott, the middle building will be both a residential building and a large co-working facility, and the western building will be another residential offering, with about 800 total apartments between the two of them. There will also be a below-ground parking garage with about 300 spaces.
Feb. 19, 2006 - An extremely rare (and high-speed) view looking south from the freeway toward I Street, before the 70/100 I apartment buildings were built.
Aug. 20, 2016 - A surprisingly similar (and similarly high-speed) view 10 years later, with the 1st Street footprint about the only landmark visible in both.
March 30, 2009 - Looking southward down New Jersey Avenue from just south of the freeway, in the old days.
January 12, 2020 - ... And a wider view of the same spot, much changed, with
ORE 82 at the end of the block. This is where the Marriott will be built.
March 30, 2009 - Looking across New Jersey Avenue into the CSX site almost a decade before its sale.
January 12, 2020 - ... And the same view, where H Street will be extended into the property.
April 11, 2004 - Looking across I Street at 1st Street, a million years ago.
November 4, 2019 - ... And the same view, where 1st Street will also be extended into the property. At left is 100 Capitol Yards, and at right is ORE 82.
