Not the best lighting for taking photos, but it didn't stop me from going inside the park's construction fences for the first time--
and taking another view from on high--to see how the park is going in advance of its planned November, 2012 opening. Read more about

The section of L Street SE within the park's footprint will reopen to vehicular traffic before too long, but with a new narrower line and with raised pavers to (hopefully) impress upon drivers that this is an area where speeds should be very low.
