For those keeping track, the Alcohol Beverage Regulation Administration has finally posted the hearing date for the liquor license for Justin's Cafe, and it's scheduled for March 22 at 10 am. From the notice: "NATURE OF OPERATION: New cafeteria-style restaurant serving salads, sandwiches, and pizza with 33 seats. Occupancy load of 61. HOURS OF OPERATION AND SALES / SERVICE / CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Sunday 11:30 am - 10 pm, Monday through Thursday 11:30 am - 1 am and Friday & Saturday 11:30 am - 2 am."
As I've written, Justin is also asking for a stipulated license, which will allow him to open the restaurant and sell alcohol before the March 22 hearing date. But I haven't heard of an opening date yet, though a reader reports that the amount of construction "stuff" in the space seems to have lessened.

I really hope he's allowed to get the stipulated license, considering he says that he won't open until he can sell alcohol. If he doesn't open until he can sell alcohol, I think he's making a big mistake. He would immediately start making good money with or without alcohol.

I live in the building and walk by there while walking the dog and there is less and less construction stuff but doesnt look like it is any closer to opening than it did in late Dec. Ran into someone who said they talked to the owner and said they will open in two weeks but that is a of of hearsay.

And yeah, open before the license, people will go regardless of whether or not there is beer.

Just means that you order at the counter, instead of table service. Five Guys would also be considered "cafeteria style."

I've heard from a couple of sources that the Velocity maybe going to apartments? Its not verified, but it seems to be the word on the street...
