Photos of the about to open Osteria Morini restaurant at the Lumber Shed, plus other goings on from construction projects Twelve12, the Park Chelsea, and River Parc.
The Lumber Shed at the Yards Park, with the window coverings now removed from the Osteria Morini space on the southeast corner. (link)
I went with hopes to press my camera up to the window to get interior photos, but was thwarted by the training session going on. (link)
Another long-distance view into Osteria Morini. (I can't help it. I'm shy.) (link)
Morini's front entrance, facing the Yards Park Overlook and the Anacostia River. (link)
Tile work at the rear of the Morini space, presumably hiding the back of the house. (link)
Next door, the windows are still covered at Agua 301, which is expected to open in early 2014, but you can see some evidence of the construction. (link)
Another view of the Lumber Shed, showing its eastern side. (The Osteria Morini space is at left.) (link)
A poor offering from me showing the Buzz Bakery space. (link)
The historic turret at 4th and M SE is getting a makeover. (link)
Continued work on the Harris Teeter space at 1212 4th Street SE. (link)
The Park Chelsea apartment building at 880 New Jersey is now out of the ground, and has new signage. And what's that at ground level....? (link)
.... The new I Street between 2nd and New Jersey is forming, as seen here from 2nd with the Park Chelsea construction at right. It's not expected to open until spring, or later. (link)
The Toll Brothers' apartment building at 1st and K is getting its second floor, and a pedestrian walkway. (link)
The EVO furniture store in the Foundry Lofts opened during my hiatus, so here's a photo of it, finally. (link)
