Yesterday was the day that
opponents of the
Virginia Avenue Tunnel got to testify before the DC council about their concerns.
While the hearing was technically about a
proposed resolution asking Congress to hold their own hearing on the project, those opposed to the plan and CSX both used the time to go through the pro and con arguments that have been aired
many times in recent months.
At this point, everything is pretty much in a holding pattern until the Environmental Impact Statement is released, which should be, as you'd expect, Any Minute Now.
