Today's Post has an overview of the tussle going on between the mayor and the council over what to do with the
Anacostia Waterfront Corporation (AWC) and the
National Capital Revitalization Corporation (NCRC). The council is voting today on whether to create a new quasi-independent agency, the Economic Development Authority, that would oversee the largest of the land projects in the city, while letting the smaller ones fall under the mayor's office for planning and economic development. The council is supposed to vote today on Brown's proposal.
