Capper's New Community Center

The new community center, replacing the current one at 5th and K Streets, will include a daycare facility for 66 children, a rec center, a computer lab, a gym, a game room, and meeting/classrooms. Attempts to find funding for the center have so far not been successful, and there is no timeline for construction. In summer 2011, modular classrooms for the Capitol Hill Day School were installed as swing space during the school's renovation of its Dent School building.
