Capper's New Community Center

The new 18,000-square-foot community center, replacing the former one at 5th and K Streets, could include a rec center, a computer lab, a gym, a game room, and meeting/classrooms. After years of delays, DCHA announced in summer 2013 that funding for the project had finally been secured, and it is expecting to deliver the community center in late 2015. In summer 2011, modular classrooms for the Capitol Hill Day School were installed as swing space during the school's renovation of its Dent School building.
